- Request is to add anyattribute to agent/note; use case is by Karin
- anyattribute could be added to all elements
- Probably restricted to certain top level elements to avoid misuse
- Needs a sub committee to examine implications of adding anyattribute to all elements, could be discussed at the Preservation Data iPRES workshop
- No objections to add anyattribute (just) to agent/note
- Tom will do a revision of the schema
- Archives Portal Europe Foundation wants to do changes to the METSRights schema
- Originally named author is Nancy (METS board)
- METSRights is considered part of METS and therefore changes should be change requests to the METS Editorial Board
- Official statement needed that METSRights is part of METS
- Leah will look for other affiliated schemas that might be considered part of METS
- Tom will add statement and schema(s) to GitHub
- Karin will inform Archives Portal Europe Foundation that an official change request is needed
- How to describe the content of ZIP files (or in general container files) in METS?
- Comment by Juha: "ZIP file in fileSec and description of contained folders and files in structMap as div elements (type='dir'/type='file')? You could then link to techMD from div element for detailed information"
- containerMD could be used as extension schema
- METS profiles could be used to describe it; there are already several METS profiles for including container files
- There are different use cases, e. g. WARC files
