Minutes

  1. Need a host for next week, Danny is schmoozing the bureaucrats. If someone will step up then we will continue.
  2. Have results from the next steps survey, see pretty charts and all the raw data. Using this data to help balance out the priorities, but it is not absolute. Things not high in importance could be picked up but an institution but might not get done by the foundation quickly. Have a good start to most of them and the others are on the radar and have a start in partner institutions.
  3. Paged content sprint planned for Sept 3 - 13. See what Minnie and Seth have done and how we can setup to use one or both.
  4. Anyone in the Islandora 8 community that might be interested in participating in a Fedora 6 pilot.
  5. Issue round-up
    1. Very specific conditions that this might occur under but possibly not a real world issue. Closing.
    2. Change the name of migrate_7x_claw to something non-CLAW.
    3. Dump out a node, delete the original, remove the node id and try to re-ingest the data. Node works, but haven't tested media, files and vocabularies yet. Not a long-term preservation strategy but an interesting feature of Drupal.
      • How do you always turn the RDF from Fedora into the correct shape? Probably need to do some custom work to restore special work back into Drupal.
    4. If you were to restore your repository to Fedora what would we need to do to ensure the rest of the framework would work? ie. creating derivatives.
      • You would need the Drupal content-type which we currently keep out of our RDF. You would also need to restore the taxonomy term from URI to term/ stuff.
      • You would lose your linkages because we can't hold on to the node ids. Maybe better to have UUIDs used instead of entity ids to ensure rebuild-ability.
      • Can we store the UUIDs so we can properly reference them back. For taxonomy terms we store the URI, could we use that to reference the correct term id. There is a function in IslandoraUtils that does the lookup, this could be used as a service. https://github.com/Islandora-CLAW/islandora/blob/8.x-1.x/src/IslandoraUtils.php#L237
