September 8:

Met with group members to discuss roles, communication methods, and meeting schedule.

September 14:

Discussed questions and topics for our meeting with the client on Wednesday 9/17. Began brainstorming some basics of the design and data structures. Setup Android SDK and created a hello world app including text and a button that creates an alert.

September 21:

Met with client on Wednesday 9/17 to discuss the goals of the app and any issues that we may end up having. Drafted some rough design ideas and compared the strengths and weaknesses of their elements.

September 28:

Combined elements of our rough design drafts to create detailed design drafts using moqups.com. Discussed our initial github commit.

October 5:

Reviewed basic github commands, tried to clone project and compile on our own devices. There were some issues with dependencies and compiling the project that we must sort out.

October 12:

Finalized design drafts. Discussed functional requirements such as required memory and libraries. Began planning architecture for the next milestone.

October 19:

Began planning classes and activities that will be present in the app. Initial descriptions of required data structures and libraries.

October 26:

Continued working on pushing and pulling with git, read more about WebView.

November 2:

Pulled and compiled latest revisions from git on Windows desktop and Linux laptop.

November 9:

Making final role decisions. My efforts will be mainly focused on the Browse activity.

November 16:

Working on populating a list and adding search functionality to Browse activity.

November 23:

Added functional ExpandableListView and textbox for Search to Browse Activity.

November 30

Edited some files to improve project compatibility between users. Preparing for prototype demo on Saturday 12/6.

January 21

Discussing methods and software we will use for testing. Preparing for first meeting of the semester.

January 28

Assessed version compatibility issues between gradle and android studio after laptop required reformatting.

February 4

Decided on testing framework and added more issues to github.

February 11

Met with AbleSC reps to discuss current and future features. Added back buttons to action bar. Added link to apk on GitHub home page.

February 18

Further planning and deciding on possible redesigns. Preparing for beta release.

February 25

Distributed coding tasks for beta release.

March 4

Created basic web page advertising the app function and a download link. Formatting and polishing (Color, text, etc.)

March 25

Made diagrams appear larger.

April 1

Updated website and apk for testing group.

April 15

Testing Discovery Day app. Working on updating webpage.
