HOME

HOME

(Title of app to be determined as of 9.28.2014) The Home Screen of the app will present the user with an organized and easy-to-use welcome to the app. The buttons included on the home screen will allow the user to browse the ADA Standards by topic/chapter, view topics/entries that the user "favorited" in the past, enter a calculator with which the user can verify measurements from the real world by comparing them to required minimums, and view the full document. This screen also includes two links at the bottom, About and Contact, which refer the user to a screen with information regarding the app and the standards and to various methods of getting in touch with the developers or ADA, respectively.

BROWSE_SEARCH

BROWSE

The browse page will give the user a table of contents where they can access the ADA standards in a categorical fashion. After clicking a top-level hyperlink, the user will be directed to a sub-level containing sub-categories. The search bar will search the entirety of the ADA standards and will list specific standards by relevance.

RISE

From the browse page, or if the selection has been favorited by the user, from the favorites screen, a user can bring up a particular standard. This screen shows an example standard for ramp rise height limits and an example of what a diagram may look like. From this page a user may favorite (or unfavorite) a selection. Once favorited, the standard will saved to the users list.

CALCULATOR

From the browse page, clicking on the button for the calculator takes you to the page on the left. From there, you are given multiple options for which measurements you're interested in verifying or which calculation you need to make. Once an option is selected, you click the button to submit and are taken to the page on the right. In this example, the measurements for doorways is selected in the left screen so the calculator for doorway dimensions is pulled up on the right screen. In that screen, the measurements are inputted and calculated to determine if the door dimensions fit the ADA standard.

FAVORITES

FAVORITES

This screen will simply display topics/chapters of the ADA Standards that the user has "favorited" or "bookmarked" for quick access via appropriately titled buttons. If there are no favorites to view, the screen will display a message that reads "There are no favorites to display". This screen will also include a button at the bottom to the first screen of topics in the document for quick access to the browser without having to return to the Home Screen.
