Asteroid Hatch

To exploit an asteroid, you first need to be able to fix all the heavy machinery to it firmly. This is done using the Asteroid Hatch.

The Hatch is a special grapple device that may be fixed to the asteroid permanently. It has square shape with a side of more than 5m and is made of steel to provide strong base for other machinery.

To attach that machinery you also need to add the special Square Roll-Sensitive Docking Port.

Due to its bulkiness, it is not so easy to attach the Hatch to an asteroid. For that you need to choose a flat surface of appropriate size. As flat as possible. And don't be frustrated if the first attempt fails; move back a little and try again. If you still cannot "dock" to an asteroid, the surface you're trying to attach the Hatch to probably has some unevenness near the center, so try a different spot.
