The meeting started around 14:00, back in the usual location of Theatre D. A new participant, Alasdair MacIndoe, attended, seeking a discussion of the Froidure-Pin algorithm which he has recently implemented in HPC-GAP.
James arrived at about 15:10 and spoke to Markus and Alasdair about Froidure-Pin and software packages implementing it. Markus and Alasdair left around 15:40 and we discussed what we've all been working on.
Participant | Activity |
---|---|
Luke Elliott | Complex analysis and programming |
Fernando Flores Brito | Reading and implementing digraph algorithms |
Alasdair MacIndoe | Finding examples for the Froidure-Pin algorithm |
Chris Russell | Thinking about congruences on simple and 0-simple semigroups |
Finn Smith | Experimenting with GAP - digraph homomorphisms |
Michael Torpey | Helping Alasdair; finding and fixing issues |
Wilf Wilson | Issues of importance to the GAP user base |
At 16:00 a confused visitor arrived wishing to attend a colloquium. We informed him that he was 23 hours early.
At around 17:30, James left, and the meeting ended a while afterwards.
