- Initial Meeting
- October timeframe
- Virtual Meeting (given short timeframe for travel). Broad invitation for participation.
- Agenda
- Cover logistics moving forward
- Establish initial ASC membership
- Elect new Chair
- Modify governance document to hold election for chair at Q4 meeting effective in the Q1 meeting.
- Can be announced at SC BoF, and gives some time to coordinate handoff of responsibilities.
- Renaming the existing PMIx Reference Implementation.
- Open PMIx GitHub project has been established, ready to move repos
- Target to August to move the repos.
- Website: pmix.org
- Most visitors look for the standard document.
- Convert this site to be PMIx standard focused.
- Should we use a GitHub pages site instead of the current WordPress?
- Do we need a person to manage the site (Secretary-like position). Maybe appointed as needed by the ASC membership.
- Create a different site for ‘Open PMIx’ implementation items.
- SC’19 BoF(s)
- BoF already submitted for PMIx community (like in previous years)
- Considering either a separate BoF (might not get both approved) or segment a section of the BoF to talk about the PMIx standard and transition of the reference implementation to Open PMIx.
- Do we have enough time for both discussions?
- 1 hr format might be too limited, 1.5 hr would be better if combined.
- Working Group: Implementation agnostic document
- Current changes tracked here: https://github.com/dsolt/pmix-standard/pull/2
- No meeting next week (7/23). Next meeting will be 7/30.
- Working Group: Slicing/Grouping of functionality
- Nearly complete with reviewing RFCs
- Hope to complete this review and flip to use cases by the end of July/early Aug.
- Initial Meeting:
- Look for most of a day to block off for a virtual meeting in Oct.
- Do working groups want to use that meeting to present or will they not be ready at that time?
- Next week we will decide on the date, agenda.
- Open Call for Membership - will draft email once date is set.
- Ralph - make adjustment to Q4/Q1 chair voting
- Ralph - Add straw poll to PR 193
