Progress to date:

  • Novice R: Task assignments done, no exercises or lesson notes to review yet
  • Novice Python: Task assignments done, no exercises or lesson notes to review yet
  • Intermediate: Task assignments done, progress underway on logging (Greg) and packaging (Jonathan) lessons
  • General philosophy: Try and follow the process if practical (i.e. develop exercises first and lessons later), but do whatever will get some content up fastest.

Proposals:

  • #75 passed
  • #8 passed [Greg will put personas in intro material]

Discussion:

  • Short file naming discussed in #84 adopted, with rse instead of int
  • Adopted #77
  • Suspend decisions on #70, #71, and #72 until more work has been done on the intermediate lessons. [Damien to add these suggestions to intermediate course outline]
  • Adopted #115

Timeline:

  • Have a substantial piece of work completed/ready to review before each fortnightly meeting
  • The overall goal is to have a first draft of the course completed before September
