GH-157: Header & Footer: Update Colors. Use Vars #181

Overview

Minor visual darkening of the dark gray of the header and footer.

This is part of the Frontera Homepage Redesign that is being propagated to Core.

Issues

Changes

  • Change color of header and footer to be darkest (TACC standard) primary color.
  • Change colors of header and footer to use CSS variables a.k.a. custom properties.

Testing

This is already tested in context via https://frontera-portal.tacc.utexas.edu/home-2021-03/ or (if launched) https://frontera-portal.tacc.utexas.edu/ and locally by developer with other related changes via #174.

  1. Ensure header text color is #FFFFFF.
  2. Ensure header background color is #222222.
  3. Ensure footer text color is #FFFFFF.
  4. Ensure footer background color is #222222.
