Summary

A presentation of Georgian translations of Herodotus and main directions for studying his Histories in Georgia.
Georgian-Greek cultural relations are attested since the 6th century BC. The knowledge of ancient Greek culture was alive even in medieval times. Herodotus appears in Georgian historiography since the 19th century. First Georgian translations of the passages of Herodotus in the works of Georgian historians since the early 20th century.
