Nightingale Design Pattern Library (BETA)

This collection is maintained by the NHS Leadership Academy Digital team.

Nightingale Design Pattern library is a collection of documentation to guide you through the use of Nightingale as a design framework system.

Pattern Hierarchy:

Elements - are the singular basic forms to start a design build.

Components - are created from from combining elements.

Modules - are created from combining components and can also include multiple elements.

Pages - combine elements, components and modules to create a singular page.

Flows - are how multiple pages connect and create a user journey through service.

####Platforms - are Moodle and Wordpress or other third party software that can implement Nightingale or have Nightingale implemented on.

Elements are the essentials needed to create components, modules, pages and platforms.

Components are built from combining a couple of elements.

Modules are built from combining two or more components.

Pages are built from combining elements, components and modules.

Flows are built to create connections between pages for a seamless user journey.

Platforms are built from integrating page patterns.
