ENVO extensions #1
Comments
Hi Chris, It’s good to hear from you as it reminds me to reactivate this work. A while ago I did try adding this to the tracker and although I completed the form my input never appear on the tracker. I thought you might have a screening process so I left it, meaning to check back. Perhaps it is because I’m not a member of the project. I’d very much like to get my extensions incorporated, but as I am very much a beginner to formal ontologies I’ll take your advice on the best way to achieve this and on IDs. Regards Quentin From: Chris Mungall [mailto:notifications@github.com] I just came across this ontology via: If you would like to get your extensions into the main ENVO then I think this can be achieved. The language extensions could become an official language bridge ontology. The new terms seem quite useful and could be added into the ontology. It's best to coordinate IDs for new terms - it could cause confusion if you publish in the ENVO:8nnnnnn space and then we accidentally use this. We can officially assign this range to you. Feel free to use our tracker or mailing list or email Pier or myself Cheers — |
Hmm, was this via the google code interface or the google forms one on the main ENVO website? (I'm not a big fan of google code myself and would like to move the ENVO repo to github...) Anyway it's a shame the request was lost. We can add you to the google code project if you email me your gmail (cmungall at gmail) I wouldn't worry about background formal ontologies, if the terms are useful to users then we'd like to incorporate them! |
