See below for known changes to this item and older pages.
The monitor is used for viewing cameras. You can add Remote Floppy Disks to the monitor with stored camera locations to view them from afar. Cameras and the monitor must be turned on to view the cameras.
You can use a Screwdriver to rotate the block without removing it. This will rotate the block along its allowed rotation sides without changing its Forge NBT variables or editing its slot items.
To turn the block on or off, while sneaking, right-click the monitor to toggle the block's state.
Jammers can turn off cameras automatically when they are on.
- As of 4.5.0, the state of the camera can be seen on the monitor under the connection screen of the monitor.
- As of 4.6.0, monitors will no longer require you to sneak to turn on or off the block.
The monitor has a total of six slots for Remote Floppy Disk.
You can use the remote floppy disk on cameras. by right-clicking them without sneaking to copy the position and data.
Once you have done that simply right-click on the monitor without sneaking to add the remote floppy disk to the monitor.
Right-clicking on the monitor holding a remote floppy disk while sneaking will remove the highest number slot remote floppy disk. The monitor will update the screen to show a new image based on how many slots are being used.
- As of 4.6.0, monitors require you to sneak to open the user interface.
The monitor has three menus.
- Main Menu
- Connections
- Naming
Each screen will give you all the options for the different screens.
- Main Menu - View Main Menu
- Connections - View Connections Menu
- Naming - View Naming Menu
- View - Enter Camera View
This menu has just the basic options but also displays green/red lights based on the number of connections to cameras the monitor has.
This menu can be configured using the naming menu and some text commands.
At the moment the camera names don't hold any real use other than a reference.
Green/red lights will indicate what connections you have green being linked and red being not linked.
You can change the name of the cameras and monitor from the Name screen of the GUI.
As of release 4.5.0, it is possible to rename cameras and monitors from the GUI name menu.
