Text editor

Syntax highlighting

Wellknown asciidoctor keywords (e.g. :icons:, :include.. etc) Colors can be customized. Also additional defaults for dark theme exists.

Tooltips

Many highlighted parts have also a tooltip with an offline description and link to online documentation

Outline and Quickoutline

Both outline implementations will show - Headlines - Includes (double click opens file)

Includes

There exists a hyperlinking for include parts, just hover mouse and press CTRL+left mouse button

Preview

WYSWYG

Save your edited asciidoctor document and the ascii doctor preview will immediately been refreshed

Imagesdir auto scan

Images are tried to identify by scanning upwards to last adoc file and automatically scan for imagesDir

Splitting

Vertical or horizontal splitted Text and Preview on same Editor

Special Editors

There exists some specialized editors coming with AsciiDoctorEditor and being based on it It still uses

Plantuml Editor

Plantuml files can be directly shown in editor.

It’s possible to enable automatic storing your output images into your eclipse project. Per default the behaviour is turned off. But you can enable it inside preferences. See #166 for details.

AsciiArt Editor

Ditaa files can be viewed inside an editor.
