…nda-forge-pinning 2023.12.21.09.51.46
Hi! This is the friendly automated conda-forge-linting service. I just wanted to let you know that I linted all conda-recipes in your PR ( |
I'll bump the tiledb pins |

Looks good to me
Thanks for catching the pins @jdblischak |
Blocked by conda-forge/tiledb-feedstock#227 |
conda-forge/tiledb-feedstock#227 was merged about 40 minutes ago. Thus it'd be worth restarting this PR (close and re-open would be easiest) in a few hours |
Could close+reopen, or commit an 'empty' whitespace change. Both are silly in their own way. Ping me when it's ready. I should be around (modulo some kitchen duty for the fam, my turn today...) |
Oh no. The R 4.3 builds are passing, but the R 4.2 builds are failing. libtiledb 2.19 has only been built against libxml2 2.12 because of the recent migration (conda-forge/tiledb-feedstock#222) The reported errors are:
- Encountered problems while solving:
- - package r-base-4.2.0-ha8c3e7c_0 requires libxml2 >=2.9.14,<2.11.0a0, but none of the providers can be installed I don't know why the solver chose to use r-base 4.2.0, which requires libxml2 2.9. r-base 4.2.3 has been built against libxml2 2.11. Regardless that wouldn't help since tiledb 2.19 requires libxm2 2.12 # works
mamba create --dry-run -n test r-base=4.2 libxml2=2.11
## + libxml2 2.11.6 h232c23b_0 conda-forge 706kB
## + r-base 4.2.3 h6f1a4fa_10 conda-forge 25MB
# fails
mamba create --dry-run -n test r-base=4.2 libxml2=2.12
Could not solve for environment specs

└─ r-base 4.2** is not installable because there are no viable options
├─ r-base [4.2.0|4.2.1|4.2.2|4.2.3] would require

├─ r-base 4.2.3 would require

│ └─ libxml2 2.11.6 conflicts with any installable versions previously reported;

Found the problem. r-base 4.3 has dropped the libxml2 dependency, which has caused r-base 4.2 to not receive the migration |
I am attempting to rebuild r-base 4.2 with libxml2 2.12: conda-forge/r-base-feedstock#288 Another route would be to create a branch in tiledb-feedstock and rebuild it against libxml2 2.11 |
Another maintainer backported the updated dependencies to r-base 4.2 in conda-forge/r-base-feedstock#289. Now that libxml2 is dropped as a dependency, conda should be able to solve the environment for the r-base 4.2 builds |
It is very likely that the current package version for this feedstock is out of date.

Please note that this analysis is highly experimental. The aim here is to make maintenance easier by inspecting the package's dependencies. Importantly this analysis does not support optional dependencies, please double check those before making changes. If you do not want hinting of this kind ever please add
