Description of changes

AWS SDK response and error object contains metadata to indicate how many retries the handler had conducted, like {$metadata: { attempts: 3 }}. This change adds the same feature to the transfer handler's retry middleware. If retry middleware is added, the thrown error or response would contain the retry information.

I could be misunderstanding but is $metadata attached to the response and potentially visible/usable to other middleware as well? The reason I'm asking is just that attempts makes sense in the context of the retry middleware but outside of it, it isn't as clear what an "attempt" is so maybe we should opt for verbosity here i.e. attempts => retryAttempts

Using attempts because it's the same interface property as AWS SDK: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSJavaScriptSDK/v3/latest/interfaces/_aws_sdk_types.ResponseMetadata.html

(The rest of properties of ResponseMetadata will come in separate PR)
