This PR works as expected, but I have two questions:

I think the intent is so the content can be scrolled to the point where the last block is roughly in the center of the content area and using |
I don't know for sure, but If you use plain Looking at how 6.5 works, there's a trailing appender that helps to create a gap, but no 40vh padding. So it seems in 6.6 it was the removal of the trailing appender that caused the issue. Maybe it'd be better to use a smaller gap when metaboxes are active so that users don't have to scroll down as far? I could also retain the existing use of |

Thanks for the details. So the current approach seems to make sense after all 👍 Maybe in the future, if the editor is always an iframe (i.e. with or without meta boxes and whatever api version of the block it is), we might be able to switch from pseudo padding back to normal padding. |

What?
Fixes #63882
That issue mentions that there's no space under the content with metaboxes enabled like there is when metaboxes are disabled.
This PR tries to fix by using CSS that works whether metaboxes are enabled or not.
How?
The padding bottom solution doesn't work with metaboxes enabled, it causes a big gap under the metaboxes panel
Instead of using padding, use the
::afterpseudo element and set a height.I've also adjusted the selector to one that works both with and without metaboxes.
Not sure if this is a workable solution, so some feedback would be appreciated.
