Troubleshooting Guide

1. No VIU Settings tab appears in Edit > Preferences

   • Check if there is any compile error in Console window
   • If yes, REMOVE ALL SDKs imported in current project

2. Errors related to cs files in Assets\HTC.UnityPlugin\VRModule\Modules\

   • Go to File > Build Settings > Player Settings
   • Clear Scripting Define Symbols field
   • Go to Edit > Preferences > VIU Settings
   • Click Repair Define Symbols button

3. VIVE controller shows pattern and no controller input

   • No 100% possible solution yet, please try below methods to resolve
   • Reported issue
   • Reported occur in Unity Editor, but also occur in actual build?
   • Try restarting SteamVR
   • Try reinstall VIVE drivers

   

4. Multiple VIVE trackers pairing issue

   • Waiting for developer's response
   • Reported issue
   • Symptom: Always the last device not shown
   • Unplug BT dongle one by one and check tracker's connection
   • Found the BT dongle that is not paired, change USB port or clear the pairing data and reconnect
