Looking around at themes on GitHub, it looks like very few theme developers have gotten the message that this has been deprecated. I think I need to do some more work to get this message out there before merging this. |

In the interest of housekeeping, I'm going to close this PR, when we're ready for it, I can reopen and merge it. |
