Construction interface on the capable multiblock controllers can be triggered by using the "Multiblock Machine Blueprint" on them.

Amount of held blueprints can affect the result. If a machine has multiple blueprints they should be accesible by requiring the least amount of blueprints.

On the picture above construction plan with different amount of blueprints held are triggered.

After the blueprint is used hints will appear, they will include floating phantom blocks, and chat messages.

Types of hatches that might occur:

  • Classic - Item/Fluid Input/Output, Maintenance, Energy/Dynamo (and most likely their multiple ampere versions)
  • Classic Muffler - Muffler
  • Classic Maintenance - Maintenance hatch
  • Energy IO - Energy/Dynamo (and most likely their multiple ampere versions
  • Elemental - Elemental Input/Output/Overflow Output
  • Elemental Muffler - Elemental Overflow Output
  • Data - Master/Slave optical connectors
  • etc.

Classic refers to simple hatches, Elemental refers to EM related hatches.

Numbers correspond to count of dots on the hint blocks. The hints should also tell if there is any replacement casing just like shown above.

Disclaimer

In creative mode shift+use actually builds part of the structure that can not be replaced by hatches.
