Download and unzip the SoundFontConverter tool created by JakeS0ft from /tools/SoundFontConverter.7z. If your font is already prepared to work with LightsaberOS or FX-SaberOS you can skip this step! If you are planning to purchase a font from saberfont.com you will want to use a Plecter compatible font.

  1. Prepare a folder with the font you would like to convert for use with FX-SaberOS. This should include:
    • boot
    • poweron(ingnition)
    • poweroff(extinguish)
    • swing (up to 8 recommended)
    • clash (up to 8 recommended)
    • lockup
    • blaster (up to 4 recommended)
    • font id
    • hum
  2. Create a directory in which you want your prepared font to be saved
  3. Run the converter program
    • select the font directory and output directory
    • adjust the settings to match the font you are converting
    • run the converter
Jakesoft has posted a video to demonstrate the use of the tool on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rtOaMDS7Lw
