FX-SaberOS (FXSOS) is a software package designed for custom made props inspired by the lightsabers popularized in the Star Wars franchise. It designed to be used with Arduino compatible boards, specifically for ATmega328 based boards although it can adapted for other chips. The most popular boards for use with FX-SaberOS are the DIYino Prime and Stardust, both of them prop boards made specifically for building props and designed to be used with FX-SaberOS, and the Arduino Nano.
FX-SaberOS features:
- single or two button operation
- Support for RGB LED, String Blades, and Pixel Blades
- motion sensing for swings and clashes
- lockup and blaster effects - including automatic modes
- configurable ignition and extinguish timing
