We did some basic testing with QGC and mavlink, and the issues appear to be gone now as far as we can judge.

This will resolve some of the serial issues described in #9325.

We did not yet check #9335.

Please pull the nuttx commits over to the nuttx repo (can be in a separate branch), so we do not have to change the submodule url.
