This implements #572. I've put the clamp before the exposure/gamma as per Mathias' request, but it feels mighty odd to me that slamming the exposure around doesn't affect the clipping - I'd be interested in any other opinions...

I checked with a few people, and they all seem to agree with Mathias, so I'll pull as is.
