In order for PoisonConvert to work correctly, you have to enter valid settings in the settings-menu. Please go to the settings-menu by typing "settings" from within the main-menu.

Your current settings are displayed on the top with the description in black and the value in green. At the bottom you see the names of the settings in yellow and brackets (note: if the setting has an invalid value, it is displayed in red color). Type any name of a setting to change its value. The settings get applied immediately but are only saved in the current session. If you want to save the setting for the future, leave the settings-menu and write "y" if PoisonConvert asks you to remember the settings for the next time.

List of settings

config-file

The filename of the config-file that you want to use. Note that this is only the filename without the path (which is specified by the setting: config-path). If you enter the filename of a file that does not exist, PoisonConvert displays a warning that it doesn't exist if you leave the settings-menu.

config-path

This is the path to the config-files.

ffmpeg-cmd

This is the command to invoke ffmpeg (e.g. simply "ffmpeg" or "/bin/ffmpeg").

ffprobe-cmd

This is the command to invoke ffprobe (e.g. simply "ffprobe" or "/bin/ffprobe").

qt-faststart-cmd

This is the command to invoke qt-faststart (e.g. simply "qt-faststart" or "/bin/qt-faststart").

delete (Yes, No)

Set this option to "y" if you want to delete the original file after conversion. Note: if conversion fails, the file will not be deleted regardless of this option.

optimize (Yes, No)

Some container formats (e.g. mp4, m4v, mov) can be tuned to start earlier when streamed.

log-path (optional)

Enter the path to where logfiles will be stored. If you leave it empty, PoisonConvert will not create any logfiles.

movies-path

Enter the path where PoisonConvert should look for movies.

destination (optional)

Enter the path to where PoisonConvert should save processed movies. If you leave this option empty, PoisonConvert will not move processed movies.
