Trying to save the app

Since the last release, Google has released some rules around news apps being published on the Google Play Store, and so they demanded we actually display some contact info about the publishers of articles if we want to ever update the app. This has been a long time request and honestly I just ignored it, but now yesterday we got news that Heroku's free tier is shutting down, which means if we ever want to keep this app alive, we may just need some update access!

This is my best attempt at low effort saving FN 👨🏽‍⚕️

🌗 Night Mode!

• Added night mode! The app will change based on your phone's night mode settings.
• The app will no longer crash when you rotate it 😅

So this is a fun one, all the code for this release was stuff I wrote today and am now publishing 🏃‍♀!

Essentially converted everything to Material for the DayNight which I've now done on 3 apps and have a bit fo experience with it 😄 I also fixed the TabFragment, I now realize fragments with parameters is a little wild, so using parametrized instance unlocked the power of rotating the app and it still working 😁 Also used Coroutines for a super clean synchronous-looking API call which is fun!

Launch to Prod!

Today with all the amazing help from everyone in @Cobresun/founders we ended up actually launching FactfulNews! This launch was cool because right from the get go we had a beta running for a while, so all we did was slap a cool logo on there and ship it. Already in its v1.0 its much more useful than PantsOrShorts was after months of updates, so I'm excited to see what the team does with this one 🤣

FactfulNews is an app inspired partly by the book "Factfulness: Ten Reasons We're Wrong About the World" and by everything we thought was wrong with the way we currently consume news and media.
