Adds Demolition Expert profession #39602

Nice Idea. Giving it a bit of throwing skill will likely increase the life expectancy, but that is quickly trained and one could argument that before the cataclysm throwing explosives was not a standard procedure, a hard hat and maybe even a dustmask would be a reasonable addition to the profession in my humble opinion. |
Added a hardhat. I kind of wanted to avoid giving him a mask to keep a "business" feel, to go with the briefcase a bit. Missing the throwing was on purpose for two reasons, to keep the point cost needed for the profession from being too high, and for being kind of a tutorial for explosives, where you either learn to use them without throwing, or discover why throwing them with no skill is a bad idea. |
Briefcase seems like a bit... inappropriate for keeping explosives? |
Give him a draggable Pelican case :) |
The slight implication for all the explosives in the briefcase is he didn't exactly have permission to make off with all the explosives for his own personal misuse. And it's part of the "professional" look i was trying to impart. We could swap it for something else but i like it. |
What's with the chemistry proficiency? Ordnance doesn't really 'make' explosives. Also dynamite? Could the industry this person was in be more explicit? I don't think they'd have both explosives. |
Both c4 and dynamite are commonly used on demolition sites, and are definitely the two explosives most suited for the profession from the explosives we have available. cooking was given assuming the profession has some experience with basic chemistry studying for his work, and he will have a headstart into eventually being able to make more from scratch. Cooking was also chosen because professions generally have some skill to differentiate the starts and this one seemed most fun gameplay wise to make this profession more unique. |

As discussed on discord, I believe knowledge of structural engineering and application of explosives is better represented by knowledge in fabrication, not chemistry. A structural demolitions expert doesn't synthesize the explosives, nor does he need to know how; they apply them.

Summary
SUMMARY: Content "Adds new Demolition Expert profession"
Purpose of change
Started a new game and wanted a fun profession to start my gameplay with a bang and realized we don't have many professions at all that start with explosives.
Describe the solution
Add a demolitions expert profession with not too much going for him other than having packed his bags before he left his job.
Testing
Load up the game and start as the profession, things work nicely.
