Hello,

Since this morning (October 12th), all of our PR's are stuck waiting for the Semantic Pull Request status to be reported.

I've tried opening a new PR today and the same thing happens. We are using the github app: https://probot.github.io/apps/semantic-pull-requests/

Is it possible the service is down? How can we get to the bottom of this? We can't seem to find any incidents page for your service.

Thanks

@zeke Not sure if you get alerts for new issues, since you ask that we @ you in stuff. 🍻

Oh noes!

GitHub has apparently shut down all the Probot apps it was hosting, including this one. Thank you @hiimbex for the heads up on Twitter: https://twitter.com/hiimbexo/status/1448090099758010376

I am a former GitHub employee. I didn't receive any notification that this was going to happen, but I believe I am still the owner of the GitHub App, so I should be able to get it deployed elsewhere and configured to point to a different domain. I'll keep this thread updated as that progresses. 🤞🏼

FWIW it appears they re-enabled them and are offering a "4 week grace period" to migrate these workflows. I am also a former GitHub employee who got no warning 😉 In order to resolve for open PRs if the app is now running again, you should be able to "trigger" the bot again, in this case probably an empty push/commit should trigger it on PRs.

I've been coordinating in the probot slack to migrate these workflows to personally hosted Herokus @zeke if you're interested, @tcbyrd has been helping me.

Thanks! Indeed it's back!
For those who are still stuck, think about making a new commit to re-run the Semantic Pull Requests!

Another option is to just change the title of the PR and then change it back.

📣 Update! I went ahead and migrated to a new Heroku app that I own.

Opened a test PR and it looks like we're good!

Hi @zeke, thanks for the update! I'm wondering if this mean the app will continue to function after the "4 week grace period" as well?
