Welcome to Clip Library! This guide will help you get up and running with the application.
- When you first open Clip Library, you should select a folder for your clips (defaults to User/Videos).
- Click on the "Change Location" button in the settings.
- Navigate to the folder where you store your video clips and select it.
- Click "OK" to confirm your selection.
- Top Bar: Contains the search bar, settings button, and filter dropdown.
- Clip Grid: Displays your video clips.
- Clip Counter: Shows the total number of clips in your library.
- View a Clip: Click on any Clip to open the video player.
- Rename a Clip: Click on the clip's title to edit it.
- Tag a Clip: Right-click on a clip and select "Manage Tags" from the context menu.
- Clicking the title lets you rename it.
- Adjust trim start and end by dragging the white bar's start or end.
- Export to Clipboard by pressing the "Export" Button or by pressing
E
.
- For untrimmed clips longer than 40 seconds, playback starts from the midpoint. To change this:
- Open the clip in the player.
- Drag either the trim start or end marker slightly.
- This creates trim data, making the clip always start from the beginning.
Note: You can reset the trim to full length, and it will still play from the start as long as trim data exists.
- Adding the "Private" tag to a clip will hide it unless you sort by that tag again. (also wont be shown in the discord rich presence)
- Press 'F' to toggle fullscreen mode in the video player.
- Use '[' and ']' keys to set trim points for a clip.
Now that you're familiar with the basics, explore the following to get the most out of Clip Library:
- Learn about tagging and organizing your clips
- Discover how to trim and export clips
- Check out all available keyboard shortcuts
