Docker Stars Docker Pulls Docker Automated build

Base layer for Liquibase update

This image is created as base layer for an image that contains the database schema of an application version. To use it, derive an image from it and add the root change log file to as /changelogs/changelog, with your preferred file extension.

This image runs Liquibase update with the change log /changelogs/changelog.* and the HSQLDB JDBC driver.

Example use

Derive an image from it like this:

FROM yonadev/hsqldb-liquibase-update:3.5.3

COPY liquibase/logs /changelogs

Build it:

docker build -t your/image:1.2.3 .

Then run it:

docker run -i \
  -e USER=sa \
  -e PASSWORD=TopSecret \
  -e URL=jdbc:hsqldb:hsql://dbserver/xdb \
  your/image:1.2.3

The environment variables required are:

  • USER - the user to the target database
  • PASSWORD - password to the target database
  • URL - the JDBC URL

The implementation is based on the work of Tom Beresford.
