Idea would be to be able to have a rake Task, such as rake install --dev which would

  • Skip the rspec run
  • Perform the usual install task, as well as install the profiling binary/ies

No idea how to do that so far.

Maybe create an install:dev tasks which set an ENV var Doesn't work, and Gem specs are processed before the tasks, so vars set in tasks can't be used :(

Could not add the rake tasks like I wanted to, but for now just the binaries in bin are enough
