Drupal CMS is supposed to be updated via the browser.
Currently, the default configuration does not allow file modification via the browser.

How to securely allow updating og the core, contrib and vendor files?

We've added Drupal CMS, which is now default instead of vanilla Drupal. But we're not going to implement support for update via browser, for the same reason we don't do it for WordPress – it's not secure and it's not really fit well with docker.
