- RileyLink
- Full Android Smartwatch
Tested so far:
- Kospet Optimus Pro
- Finow X7
- From Play Store:
- Install Google Drive (or some way to get apps/files onto the watch)
- Install Nova Launcher (Prime is recommended -- it gives more widget options and the Devs deserve the money)
- Install xDrip+
- Install Omnicore (Link?)
- Install AndroidAPS for Omnicore (Link?)
A major drawback of the standalone Android watches (as of mid 2019) is that they have extremely limited battery. The following steps will extend your battery as much as possible.
- (For Kospet Optimus)
- Navigate to Settings->Display
- Turn off Alway Time
- Reduce Brightness Level
- Navigate to Settings->Connect->WiFi->Advanced
- Keep Wifi on during sleep (still assessing this setting)
- Navigate to Settings->Connect->GPS
- Mode High Accuracy (Required? I believe so. Battery Saving might work)
- Navigate to Settings->Power Saver
- Enable Intelligent power saving (testing)
- Navigate to Settings->More->Accounts
- Disable Auto-Sync data
- Navigate to Settings->More->Battery Cleaner
- Remove xDrip+, AndroidAPS and Omnicore from battery saver. Enable all other apps.
- Navigate to Settings->More->App Freeze
- Remove unused apps. I selected Calculator and Maps
- Navigate to Settings->More->App Settings
- Set Home App to Nova Launcher
- Special Access
- Remove xDrip+, AAPS, Omnicore from Battery Optimization
- Add Nova Launcher to Notification Access
- Navigate to Settings->Display
