Agenda

Following our standing agenda, working from the Project Board.

Review ‘For discussion’ items

Amend definition of motion animation to not exclude blurring #4040. Added "to the viewer" at end of sentence to address concern raised by @cookiecrook.. Returned back to Sent for AG approval.

CFC style updates #4080 One unresolved question to Shawn on Layers of Guidance section which uses title case. Alastair does not think the style guided goes into that level of detail. We decided to keep title case on the emphasized words in the section. Moved to Ready for approval.

Review ‘Drafted’ items

Updated F52 page title and h1 heading to match the related SC #4074 straightforward correction of referenced SC numbers. Moved to ready for approval.

Tech timeout 20 hours or greater #4058 discussed briefly, but seems to OBE. Alastair offered to check in with Glenda offline, as he is already in a conversation with her on an unrelated matter.

Tech spacing override ac #4059 discussed and we agreed on deleting branch and closing the PR as too old and defunct.

Update 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions Understanding Doc #4056 discussed and closed. Per his comment last week, Mike will look at updating Understanding 2.4.6 to address concern. The associated issue to Restore the need for accuracy/correctness to 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions #3984 was also discussed last week. Since we no longer have a PR to track on The Board, Bruce set the status for the Issue to In Progress.

Addressing Inadequate Instructions: Gaps Between SC 3.3.2 and SC 2.4.6 #4096 is new, but similar.

Input Purposes for User Interface Components is an appendix, so should be marked as non-normative #3777 discussed briefly. As before, remains in Kevin's queue for reconciliation. We should leave the numbered sections (including Input Purposes, but also Glossary) as-is. If there is a change, it can be a straightforward editorial to put "Appendix" above (or maybe in front of) the lettered headings A-C. Reverted to In Progress.

Updated F52 page title and h1 heading to match the related SC #4074 reviewed and approved without changes. Status advanced to Ready for Approval.

Create aria24.html #4061 was reviewed. The technique has utility, but there are some syntax issues (examples link to C: drive), and absolute instead of relative links). Also technique filenames should not include a number, as those are generated as part of the processes. Moved back to In Progress.

Other discussion

Time permitting, items of interest to participants, including open discussions.

  • Scott is getting feedback on updated Understanding Reflow, and continues to iterate. Illustrations for examples are particularly labor intensive. Some of the suggestions are mutually exclusive. Should failure examples be grouped together, or paired with passing examples?

  • Ken continues to iterate on the root directory and rebuilding index.html and folders from TR path publications. Ken flagged that the Conformance Challenges folder is a bit of an orphan.
