Dropdown with submenu not rendering correctly

Steps to reproduce

See the dropdown "Cascading menu" example in the docs(reproduction link above)

What is expected?

It should look like the v1 version

What is actually happening?

There is no right arrow when the menu item has submenu.
The submenu looks as if it's inside another container which breaks the shadow effect.
