VirusTotal URL Checker vs1.0 This Python script interacts with the VirusTotal API to check URLs for safety and security concerns. It sends a URL to VirusTotal, which then returns a detailed analysis of the URL's safety.

Setup Prerequisites Python 3.x requests library (Install using pip install requests) API Key To use this script, you will need an API key from VirusTotal:

Sign up for an account at VirusTotal. Navigate to your profile to find your API key. Create a file named api_key.txt in the same directory as the script. Place your API key in this file, ensuring there is no extra whitespace or newline characters. Installation Clone this repository using:

git clone https://github.com/yourusername/virustotal-url-checker.git cd virustotal-url-checker Usage Run the script from the command line, passing the URL you want to check as an argument:

python virustotal_url_checker.py www.bitcoin.com Replace www.bitcoin.com with the URL you wish to check.

Features Sends URLs to the VirusTotal API for safety checks. Parses and displays the results in a readable format. Handles API keys securely by reading from a separate file.
