This is to take into account the outcome of the discussion on NixOS/nix#7742 (comment).
I also noticed that the top-level README was not tested for being up-to-date on CI and changes from #334 were not included. This updates the CI script to include the tests in the
docssubtree in WORKSPACE mode (bzlmod doesn't support Stardoc, yet).
