[CROS rebase]store firmware version info into debugfs for logger usage #245

as I've said multiple times, we should not use github to merge incremental development patches into product branches. These patches are already integrated in sof-dev and @ranj063 should just take all the latest patches from topic/sof-dev-rebase and cherry-pick them on top of backport/cros-v4.14-intel-audio

No need to trigger runtime pm in driver removal, otherwise if user
disable auto suspend via sys file, runtime suspend may be entered,
which will call dwc3_core_exit() again and there will be clock disable
not balance warning:

The ptp channel instance is only initialized when ptp traffic is first
processed by the driver. This means that there is a window in between when
port timestamping is enabled and ptp traffic is sent where the ptp channel
instance is not initialized. Accessing statistics during this window will
lead to an access violation (NULL + member offset). Check the validity of
the instance before attempting to query statistics.
