Meeting notes:

Today:

• Masibonge will set up the bot dialogue, just asking for the medicine name, and returning our output to the user
• Jethro will take the input from the bot into our Flask app, and ping the FDA API, and return the info to the bot
• Idea is to get this first proof of concept working by 10am tomorrow.
• In the meantime, Tamira will work on the HTML for the static landing page, and Jeanne Marie on the design.

How about this for an indicative timeline to work towards:

Friday

• After the proof of concept works, Jethro can include the Google Translate API call within the Flask app, returning our output to the bot in Zulu.
• And Madibonge and Jeanne-Marie can build out the rest of the bot dialogue (see Figjam file for user journey).
• Tamira will implement the styling of the landing page based on Jeanne-Marie’s designs

Saturday

• Masibonge to translate the bot’s dialogue prompts into Zulu.
• Jethro to look into deploying the bot via Flask/Twilio.
• Tamira to figure out how to launch WhatsApp from the website

Sunday

• We test & tweak
• Work on a demo and presentation
