[Autocomplete] Have a field B depending on the field A

I have a region and town fields in the user form. I want the towns to be displayed depending on the selected region. So the town field will be by default maybe disabled, after the user pick a region the list of towns displayed by autocompletion should be the ones with the region selected.
I know i'll some javascript but is there a think useful that can be done directly with form parameters or whatever ?
