This README covers how to update and manage release version tags in repositories used by our Earthfile located in the stoikio/product
repository.
- Ensure a clean and updated working directory.
- Run
git tag -a vx.x.x -m "Release vx.x.x"
to create a new version tag. - Push the tag with
git push origin vx.x.x
.
- Navigate to the repository's main page on GitHub.
- Click the "Releases" tab.
- Click "Create a new release".
- Enter the version tag (e.g., v1.2.3) in the "Choose a tag" field.
- Add a title and description, and click "Publish release".
- Renovate will create a PR on the
stoikio/product
repository to update the corresponding version tag in the.env.static
file - Merge this PR
- The next build will automatically pull the latest version of this repository
