@ChanSek Thanks for the heap dump. Turns out this is a duplicate of #482.

The GC root causing the leak in your case is of type com.google.android.gms.internal.zzmn$zza (relating to the Play Services AppInvite API) which inherits from android.os.Binder. Leakcanary was ignoring it per the aforementioned issue and searching for another cause, throwing an OOM in the process.

I'll cut a release this weekend to include the fix for #482. A long-term OOM fix will take more time.
