Would it be a great idea to add a wysiwyg editor to this extension? Would be more easy for non technical staff to use it.

If it was available, I'd use it

My personal thoughts (i.e. non-representative of how the core team feels about this issue) about this extension is that its purpose would be better filled by something such as Refinery. While I am friends with the main maintainer of Refinery, I honestly believe it to be better suited for the purpose of content generation than any extension that Spree offers or any other alternative CMS system.

@steveroot there is actually an extension spree_editor that provides the wysiwyg editor. The Readme used to reference it, and I'm not sure why it doesn't anymore. I think it may have been removed from the Readme since the editor doesn't appear to have been updated for the namespace updates yet.

Ideally you use both the spree_editor and this spree_static_content extensions together and you get the desired effect your looking for.

As @radar points out Refinery is a much better CMS solution, but if your simply trying to add a couple static pages like about or privacy policy this does fine with the editor extension.

Great, thanks! Didn't know about the extension...

@radar: that is still a possibility. The only drawback I see is we can't mount the two apps on root....I'll have to mount Spree in "/catalog" or something like this...not a perfect fit but should do it!
