Hello!
- I've been programming for more than 20 years. Started with Perl, moved on to Python, and of course one does not simply avoid JS :)
- I live in the EU.
- I have always tried to set as much code free as possible when working on something. I helped develop some projects. Some of my own projects live their own life now (e.g. I gave ownership of django-autoslug to another developer), some were forked and exist in different forms (e.g. eav-django), some survived a period of stagnation due to me working full-time on something completely unrelated and have been revived recently (e.g. argh).
- I'm always happy to see someone saving their time by using the code I shared with the community.
- It's not easy to combine full-time work and find resources to maintain FOSS projects. Although eventually having moved to a more flexible schedule, I still can't afford spending enough time on open source projects. The model "develop a tool for your client and set it free" only works in some cases and can't guarantee continued attention once the financing of that particular project stops.
- Even a symbolic donation that would buy me a coffee would mean a lot to me. :)
