A while ago I registered rustronomy.org and the https://github.com/rustronomy github organization.

It seems that your project is already further ahead than I will realistically manage to achieve. So I'd like to hand over the domain and organization to you @smups, if you care to use them.

I've invited you as owner of the rustronomy github organization. If you accept, feel free to 'demote' me. Or kick me out altogether, although I do hope to write astronomy code in rust at some point.

Transferring the domain name might require a bit more formalities. It is currently registered through transip, and it seems easy to transfer the domain if you have an account there too. Otherwise we need a proper transfer.

We can also meet up if you wish; I can come to Leiden if that's where you are still located.

Thank you so much for taking interest in rustronomy dr. Buddelmeijer!

Currently I don't have any plans for a rustronomy website, mostly due to me currently being the only person working on a rustronomy module. For this reason, I think it might be a bit early to transfer the domain.

I'd also like to add that if you'd like to create a website for the project using the rustronomy domain yourself, you're more than welcome to do so!

As for the rustronomy github organisation, I think organizing the rustronomy project into separate repo's for each crate is absolutely the way to go long-term (especially since I'd like multiple authors to work on their crates semi-independently within the rustronomy project). I'd like to take control of the organisation if that´d be ok with you.
Btw, I see no reason to demote you from the project and would like to re-iterate my invitation to post your astronomy related rust libraries in the github project if you wish to do so :).

Regards, Raúl

OK, that's good. Feel free to use the organization as you see fit.

I'm mainly a Python person, and what I sort-of envisioned with 'rustronomy' would be something like astropy, but for rust. So definitely a collaborative effort. And I also realized that it would probably happen than someone would be faster than me in producing something that is actually useful :-).

I'll keep the website in my name; for now or forever, I don't mind. Or I'll hand it over later. There is currently no hosting attached to it; I'd be happy to set something up when I or someone else creates a website. You''re doing quite well with the documentation so far though, with the logo and all.

As for my contributions, I'm serious about Rust in astronomy. It has a similar feeling as "Python in astronomy" had around the turn of the century, but better. I was hoping getting a domain name and such would push me to actually work on it :-). We'll see.
