2013-02-01 bwusage: a program to print the the current input and output bandwidth utilization on a given network interface on a Linux host. Author: Shumon Huque, <shuque -@- upenn.edu> Pre-requisites: Linux Python 2.5 or above Installation: Copy the program to wherever you need it. Usage: bwusage (a network bandwidth usage reporter for Linux), version 0.1 Usage: bwusage [-i interval] [-c #samples] [-h lines] [-b] [-k] [-m] [-g] [-u] <interface_name> Options: -i interval interval in seconds -c samples count of number of samples -h NN print header every NN lines -b use bits per second unit -k use kilobits per second unit -m use megabits per second unit -g use gigabits per second unit -u print timestamp in unixtime format Example usage/output: $ bwusage -i 5 -m eth0 Computing throughput at 5 second intervals for interface eth0 ...
