sakiladb/mysql

MySQL docker image preloaded with the Sakila example database. See on Docker Hub.

By default these are created:

• database: sakila
• username / password: sakila / p_ssW0rd

docker run -p 3306:3306 -d sakiladb/mysql:latest

Image	Platforms
sakiladb/mysql:8	amd64, arm64
sakiladb/mysql:5.7	amd64
sakiladb/mysql:5.6	amd64

Or use a specific version of MySQL (see all available image tags on Docker Hub.)

docker run -p 3306:3306 -d sakiladb/mysql:8

If you need to wait for the DB to be ready, note that the string mysqld: ready for connections. can be found in the logs on startup.

Verify that all is well (using the mysql command line tool):

$ mysql --host=127.0.0.1 --port=3306 --user=sakila  --password=p_ssW0rd sakila -e 'SELECT * FROM actor LIMIT 5'
