Among many other things, this update contains some fixes to InputForm,
which allows translation of sums and products to Sage, see #25899.

To track the release (FriCAS 1.3.5 not released at the time this ticket was opened):

Our last update was to Fricas 1.3.2 in #21377.

@fchapoton: oops, sorry, I should have written that explicitely. Yes, the fixes should be in the upcoming release.

In this 2018-12-23 fricas-devel post,
Waldek Hebisch hints at a possible release in January 2019.

From the release notes:

  • Added free noncommutative field.
  • Added factorization in free algebra.

Is either of this, or anything else in FriCAS (there are lots of features, I know), particularly interesting to wrap and expose?

I am not sure, but I do know that the addition of any wrappers are better left to followup tickets. LGTM.
