After running it for more than 12 hours uninterruptedly, I received an email saying "High account activity on Pluralsight" and my account got 403'd. I think it would be useful if a warning was displayed at the start of the script, for awareness purposes.

How much courses did you download in 12 hours ? I guess it depends on that. I got banned but you shouldn't worry too much about that.

When I run more than 1 instance, I get banned sooner. How many instances were running at the same time ?

Hi guys, I played with the speeds a little bit,
my current setup is:

SLEEP_INTERVAL = 50 # minimum sleep time (s)
SLEEP_OFFSET = 100 # set random sleep time (s) up to
SLEEP_PLAYLIST = 50 # sleep time (s) between playlist requests
RATE_LIMIT = 5000 # download rate (kb/s)

I managed to download 4 courses and after that got banned, I received the following mail from them:

Your account has been blocked from accessing the Pluralsight platform.
If this is your first warning, please contact support@pluralsight.com and we will unblock your account when you acknowledge our Terms of Use.
If you have received multiple warnings, please contact support@pluralsight.com and we can advise you on remediating the suspicious activity we are detecting on your account.
To protect the integrity of the platform for all users, Pluralsight systems monitor and impose automated blocks when situations such as unusual usage, potential account sharing, or possible content scraping are detected.

Interesting :). I've got a "Cease and Desist" letter a couple of weeks ago were Pluralsights piracy agent threatened me by "legal actions" if I did not removed this repository. A couple of hours before that mail was recieved my LinkedIn was visited by employes from Pluralsight and the piracy agent company.

Appearently they are very much aware of this exploit and updated their infomation accordingly to that.

this repo got forket many times, what's the matter if you comply with the cease and desist letter? a lots of courses are being shared on torrent trackers. they opened april for free but people abuse and download nonstop. the authors must receive some kind of compensation but i think treatening with legal action is not the right step.

I could clear out all traces of the instructions from all other places on the web that was not mentioned in these two letters that I received from your organization.
