Current plan

  • Nathan and Sonja look at Guillaume's ppxlib migration PR to unblock it
  • Nathan tests new version of the MDX stanza in RealWorldOcaml
  • Nathan reviews, merges and releases the 4.12 compat

Meeting notes

Guillaume worked on migrating from ocaml-migrate-parsetree to ppxlib but he's ran into issues related to Location exceptions and it's been pretty hard to figure out. Nathan and Sonja might have run into a similar problem a little while ago while working on ppxlib so they will look into this. This migration is high priority as we are not compatible with the omp2 world at the moment.

Sonja and Nathan didn't have time to work on MDX since the last meeting.

Ulysse almost finished the new stanza, there is some error reporting and documentation work remaining but it is working. Nathan will prepare a PR on RealWorldOcaml to make sure it works well over there and then will proceed to reviewing the dune and MDX PRs. It would be nice to get this merged soon!

Another high priority thing is the 4.12 compat work done by @kit-ty-kate. Nothing too controversial here it seems so we should merge it ASAP and cut a release. Nathan will take care of this.

We also briefly talked about the formatting of MDX blocks. This work has been on hold for a little while but we should bring it back up the priority list once the above items have been dealt with.
